Benno Rosenwald is a Los Angeles based film and television producer and development executive. He started his career working for The Gersh Agency in New York City where his love affair with the entertainment industry began. After moving back to his hometown of Los Angeles, he worked with Jerry and Janet Zucker (AIRPLANE, GHOST, RAT RACE, etc.) helping them build their business in the television market. At the same time Benno started his own production company Mooki Entertainment in 2015 which has produced its first two productions UNDERGRADS, a pilot presentation, and ECTASY & AGONY a short film. Benno through Mooki Entertainment is dedicated to bringing new voices to the film and television markets working with young talent to create work that shines a light on what it means to be millennial and confronts issues we are facing as our generation becomes "the adults".
Benno is also a board member of Center Theater Group's Young Producer Circle where he helps shape the future of theater in Los Angeles. As a board member of the largest non profit theater organization in LA he is dedicated to bringing theater to the masses and ensuring that the quality theatrical programming of Center Theater Group will be around for many generations to come.
Benno has a BA in Drama from Stanford University and is currently getting his MFA from the Peter Stark Program at USC's School of Cinematic Arts.
His guilty pleasure is eating Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream while watching any and all Real Housewives of (insert city here).
